1. From the Tools menu, select "Email Accounts."
2. Select the radio button next to "Add a new email account" and click the "Next" button.
3. Select the radio button next to "POP3" and click the "Next" button.
4. Enter the following information:
User Information
* Your Name: Enter your name as you'd like it to appear in the "From" field of your outgoing messages.
* Email Address: Enter your full Yahoo! Mail address (for example, "user@yahoo.com").
Server Information
* Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.com
* Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Login Information
* User Name: Enter your Yahoo! ID (your email address without the "@yahoo.com").
* Password: Enter your Yahoo! password.
5. Do not check the box next to "Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)."
6. Click the "More Settings" box and select the "Outgoing Server" tab.
7. Check the box next to "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication."
8. Click the “Advanced” tab.
9. Under “Incoming Server (POP3)”, check the box next to “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)". The port number in the “Incoming Server (POP3)" field should automatically change from 110 to 995. If it doesn’t, make sure the port number is set to 995.
10. Under “Outgoing Server (SMTP)”, check the box next to “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL). Enter port number “465” in the “Outgoing Server (SMTP)” field.
11. If you'd like to keep a copy of your email messages on the Yahoo! Mail server, click the "Advanced" tab. Check the box next to "Leave a copy of messages on the server." If you want to delete your messages from the Yahoo! Mail server after viewing them in Outlook, don't check the box.
12. Click the "OK" button.
13. Click the "Next" button on the Email Account Wizard, then click "Finished."

Sebuah F R E E software ( YPOPs! ) yang bisa di download dari http://www.ypopsemail.com atau dari blog asal artikel ini diambil dibutuhkan untuk setting account baru dalam MS Outlook 2003 . Program inilah yang dapat menarik isi email Yahoo! (etc: .com, .uk, or .id) ke dalam sebuah e-mail client yang dalam tulisan ini menggunakan MS Outlook 2003. Untuk setting e-mail client yang lain dapat dilihat pada bagian ‘Configuring Mail Clients‘ website diatas.

Baiklah, kita mulai saja men-setting MS Outlook 2003 untuk e-mail Yahoo!.

   1. Download-lah ( YPOPs! ) pada alamat http://cz01.wordpress.com atau http://www.ypopsemail.com
   2. Selanjutnya instal-lah softwear tersebut ke dalam komputer, dengan step NEXT - NEXT (tidak usah melakukan setting apa² terlebih dahulu).
   3. Setelah YPOPs! terinstall maka akan ada sortcut icon pada desktop dan di pojok kanan bawah layar komputer, hal ini menandakan bahwa YPOPs! aktif dan siap untuk meng-unduh file - file e-mail Yahoo! anda. ( Untuk anda yang menggunakan PROXY Server anda harus men-set bagian ‘Proxies’ dengan cara meng-klik kanan icon tray YPOPs! ‘Configure’, isikan sesuai dengan konfigurasi PROXY Server anda.)

Setting new account MS Outlook 2003 :

1. Pilih option ‘Tools’ -> ‘Email Accounts’

2. Pada pilihan radio button, pilih ‘Add new e-mail account’ -> Next

3. Pilih opsi radio button ‘POP3' -> Next

4. Pada bagian ‘User Information’ isikan Nama yang sesuai dengan Yahoo! mail account dan e-mail address Yahoo!

5. Pada bagian ‘Bagian Server Information’ isikan : ‘Incoming mail server (POP3) dengan ‘127.0.0.1', dan isikan juga Outgoing mail server dengan ‘127.0.0.1'

6. Pada bagian ‘Logon Information’ isikan ‘User Name’ dengan id Yahoo! (etc: saya_01), dan password e-mail Yahoo!

7. Lalu klik tombol ‘More settings’

8. Pada tab ‘Advance’ besarkan ‘Server Timeouts’ sampai dengan 10 minutes

9. Pada tab ‘Outgoing Server’ berikan tanda centang ‘My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentification’, dan pilih radio button ‘Use same settings as my incoming mail server’ -> klik OK

10. Tes account setting dengan mengklik tombol ‘Test Account Settings’, apabila semua status ‘Completed’ maka anda sudah dapat meng-unduh semua file yang ada di Yahoo! e-mail

11. Klik tombol Finish

catatan : YPOPs! akan menarik semua e-mail yang ada pada Yahoo! mail anda, sehingga ketika anda login melalui browser / online check mail (mail.yahoo.com), semua e-mail akan otomatis hilang dan pindah ke dalam komputer.
